The Fillies WhoRewrote History
A Derby after 64 years. An Arima after 37. A Triple Tiara, and two Japan Cups.
In 2007 Vodka won the Tokyo Yushun — only the third filly ever to win the Derby, and the first in 64 years.

Her contemporary Daiwa Scarlet finished in the first two in every one of her twelve races, and in 2008 became the first filly since Tomei in 1971 to win the Arima Kinen.

In 2018 Almond Eye completed the Triple Tiara and won the Japan Cup. She won it again in 2020 and was Horse of the Year for the second time.
